Anna's Deal[]
Mags was waiting when Todd came home from work, as they were meant to be going out for the evening. She noticed he was upset and he told her that McCaw was going to offer Anna a deal and he was torn on whether or not he wanted Anna to take it, because the case would be a lot for his small firm to handle. During a later conversation, Mags said that as soon as Anna either took the deal or didn't, he would know which way he wanted it to go by how her decision made him feel.[1]
Dining Out[]
Margaret and Todd went out for dinner with Jack Mercer and Vivian Kent. Vivian was late to the dinner, leaving the others to chat awkwardly while they waited for her. When Vivian arrived, she brought the video from Anna's trip to Morocco, which they all watched at the table. The video was normal except one clip of Anna telling Noah to turn the camera off.[2]
Anna's Trial[]
As Todd prepared for Anna's trial, he practiced at home and Margaret gave feedback. She also told him she was looking forward to the vacation they were taking after the trial was over because she was tired of the trial. They later fought because Margaret said he was going to miss their family vacation for Anna. He told her he couldn't abandon Anna, which Margaret didn't understand. She told him it would be easier if he were having sex with Anna, because then it would make sense.
Despite her anger, Margaret came to the courthouse to watch the trial. After the verdict was read, she and Todd left the courthouse together. She talked about plans for their vacation until he stopped and said he couldn't leave Anna. He promised to join them as soon as he could.[3]
