Linda works with Rachel DeLoache Williams at Vanity Fair.
History[]
When Linda learned that Rachel had a large balance on her company card, she emailed Rachel asking about it. When Rachel didn't reply, she went to Rachel in person and warned her that Marco would be doing his quarterly checks next week and she needed to get the balance paid before he saw it. Rachel promised to take care of it.
Not long after that, Linda found Rachel crying in the bathroom at work and asked if there was something Rachel wanted to tell her. Rachel confessed to Linda that her friend had charged an entire stay at a resort in Morocco on her card, but was going to pay her back. Linda said she wasn't going to and what she did was fraud. She told Rachel to turn Anna in to the police, but Rachel said that Anna was her friend and she wouldn't turn a foreign woman over the police in Trump's America.
However, when Marco checked and the balance was still unpaid, he and Linda called her in for a meeting. She told them she wasn't trying to defraud the company, but Marco said she allowed the fraud to occur. He also said they'd be doing an investigation and if the investigation revealed that she was in on it, they would be calling the police. When Rachel defended that Anna had made the charges, not her, Marco reminded her that she'd admitted that she used the services that had been charged to her card.
After Rachel was suspended by HR, she told Linda she was standing up for herself.
