Biography[]
Jeff Perry was born in Highland Park, Illinois. He married Laurie Metcalf and had a child, Zoe Perry, in 1984. However, they divorced in 1992. He then married and had another baby with Linda Lowy, a casting director.
Career[]
Perry is best known as the police inspector Harvey Leek on the show Nash Bridges. He played the superior to Kevin Bacon's detective in the movie Wild Things. His television and film credits include The Human Stain, The Grifters, My So-Called Life, The West Wing, The Practice, Lost, Cold Case, Raines. He has been appearing in several episodes of the primetime drama Grey's Anatomy as Meredith Grey's father since 2006. Recently, he replaced John Billingsley in the role of Terrence Steadman in Prison Break. From 2012 to 2018 appeared in the role of Cyrus Beene in the primetime drama Scandal on ABC.
