History[]

Meeting Anna[]

When Anna got the idea to start the Anna Delvey Foundation, she started meeting with people to try to build a team to work with. She met with Gabriel, who was intrigued, but said he needed to see what kind of collection she was working with before he could design a space for her. He said he'd get on board if she could get a curator or gallerist on her team.

Later, after Anna used Nora Radford to make connection in the art world, Gabriel said he'd gotten a call from Richie Notar about her and wanted to work with her.[1]

Touring 281 Park[]

Gabriel went with Anna, Richie Notar, Richard Lavin, and Jaffe to tour 281 Park. As they walked around, she shared her vision for the space. After they were finished, she said she needed to lease it. They estimated she would needed $40 million to finance it.[2]
